Usage

Veil of Bones is a travel ability and as with all Veil spells will leave an illusion to distract hostiles. Your next Primary Attack will function as normal, but include a projectile directed at the mouse cursor at the time you being the attack animation. This projectile has a very long range, comparable to other skillshot spells, though a narrow hitbox. If an enemy is struck by the projectile, it will apply the Amplify and target the nearest hostile with a projectile automatically. This projectile targeting appears to use the predictive logic utilized by the AI, and in general does not miss. The projectile will not target a hostile which has already been struck as part of the specific instance of the ability. It will target hostiles which have Amplify applied via other effects, and appears to only ignore those hit as part of the chain. If there are remaining bounces but no new targets, the projectile will not fire.

Veil of Bones can be a useful option for players who prefer standoff combat, particularly against PvE targets. While the added projectile can be had to adapt to if not using a crossbow, it does provide an additional source of ranged damage and, perhaps more importantly, applies the Amplify debuff at range for follow-up attacks.
